I’m Matthew Hill, and I’m running for Council At-Large because New Orleans deserves more than excuses. New Orleans needs safer streets, cleaner neighborhoods, and smarter leadership-now. I'm not here to play nice with the system; I'm here to break it down and build the city we deserve.

New Orleans is resilient and beautiful but bruised by bad management. I’ve spent years turning around multi-million-dollar operations, slashing waste, and rebuilding systems that others wrote off. I don’t tolerate dysfunction, I fix it.

This city doesn't need another politician with slogans. It needs someone who’s lived on both sides of the American promise. Someone who knows that potholes aren’t the problem — they’re a symptom of a system that’s settled for mediocrity. I’m not here to patch it up. I’m here to rebuild it.

I’m not a politician, I’m a manager. I motivate people to work together to solve problems. Like many other cities, New Orleans has problems and so far, few of them have been solved. With my leadership, we can begin to shape a new future for our city. To achieve this, I need your support and your vote. Spread the word to your friends, neighbors and work colleagues that a vote for me will move us toward the goal of a more prosperous New Orleans.

Reform Permitting, Licensing & Business Start-up Rules.

Cut red tape for small businesses and neighborhood entrepreneurs.
Offer fast-track approvals in disinvested areas.
Institute Business Liasons who help move your dreams forward by being with you every step of the way.

Neighborhood

Our city has to turn our neighborhoods into communities, by investing in YOU.

Clean up and update parks and green spaces.
Update public transportation routes and access.
Partner with banks for low interest start-up capital.
Earned Equity Housing Programs
Grocery store incentives in the East and retail in Algiers.

Economy

We are not rebuilding a city, we are rebuilding an economy, utilizing our greatest resource, You.

Lower Taxes and Fees
Leverage Almonaster by turning it into a giant industrial park.
Give incentives (tax breaks, grants, fast-track permitting ) to residents who open businesses in their own neighborhoods.
Update our infrastructure to accommodate predicted growth.

Proper governance isn't photo ops, ribbon cuttings, it's about performance, precision, and public accountability. A real leader doesn't dodge responsibility- they fix what's broken, streamline operations, and put taxpayer dollars to work where it counts.

New Orleans doesn't have a money problem; it has a management problem. And I'm here to end the era of excuses.

We need a lean, focused, results-driven government. One that treats the city like it's worth running right. That means dissolving wasteful monopolies, enforcing contracts, and delivering basic services without drama.

I'm not selling hope - I'm offering execution. This city can work. It just needs someone willing to manage it like it matters. That's the better way - and I'm ready to lead it.
