Moving New Orleans to Lean Government means shifting from a system weighed down by inefficiency and politics to one that delivers maximum value to citizens with minimal waste. Lean Government is about managing by data, not ideology—streamlining processes, cutting redundancy, and ensuring every dollar of taxpayer money produces visible results. Instead of layers of bureaucracy, services become faster, clearer, and more accountable. This approach has transformed cities across the country, improving infrastructure, reducing costs, and restoring public trust. For New Orleans, Lean Government would mean potholes fixed quicker, permits processed faster, budgets aligned with results, and a city that finally works for the people who live here. It’s not just reform—it’s a new standard for how New Orleans governs itself.

The Sewerage & Water Board was built for a different era and it's holding us back.

I want to dissolve the Board and move all operations equipment, and personnel under the Department of Public Works. We will overhaul DPW and put Roads, Drainage, and Pumping all under one roof. One chain of command. One Mission. One Job. Stop New Orleans from flooding.

It's time to stop being a victim to the Flooding, the bills, the constant roadwork, and the ineptitude. It's time to move into the 21st century.

It's pretty simple. It costs too much to live in New Orleans, and lowering your cost of living begins with lowering your taxes and taxes on businesses. Remember, businesses do not pay taxes, the consumer does.

This cycle is centuries old. In 1717, the Company of the Indies controlled every ounce of trade. Then came the railroads, the steamboats, and the sugar barons. In the 20th century it was Entergy, the Sewerage & Water Board, the RTA, and politically connected waste companies. New Orleans doesn’t get rid of monopolies — it just swaps one for another.

Breaking monopolies isn’t ideology. It’s common sense. It’s accountability. It’s about building a city where progress comes from competition, not from a handful of gatekeepers.

With a $70M deficit this year and a likely $50M deficit next year we need to take action NOW!

Every department. Every office. No exceptions. We will launch full-scale Financial and Managerial Audits across City Hall — from the Assessor to the DA to the Judiciary. If you're wasting taxpayer money or cutting backroom deals, your days are numbered. I will find the money. And I will find out who’s been cheating the people of New Orleans

There is only one proven way to lower energy costs, and that is competition. The time has come to municipalize the power lines, take back control of the grid and allow competitors to compete for your business. 

If you want to lower the cost of living and build a stronger economy at the same time, we need to take serious action in breaking up the monopoly and making sure that we have a future where the game is not rigged for one company.
